Here is the (yes, THE) cafe that in my humble opinion is the soft, ticklish underbelly of the Nachlaot Hipster scene. 'Nachlaot," you ask, "what pray tell is that??" Well, in the words of Lorelai Kude at Radio Free Nachlaot, a hippie, mom 'n pop internet radio startup that is really taking off, Nachlaot is, "the coolest neighborhood in Jerusalem."

And Y Cafe is its its nerve center. Small, intimate, and relaxing, it's open every day from 8 to 12 am. Closed on Shabbat, open on Sat, Night. Kosher, w,o. hechsher (calm down, trust us!)

The Chai Latte is a must. small 12 shekels, lager 14 shekels.

Serves wine, beer, and hard liquor. No cocktails, what you see is what you get.

Address, 14 Nissim Behar on the corner of Betzalel St. in Nachlaot.
